On 26th October 2024, the Worker Protection Act 2023 (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) took effect.

This is a positive legal obligation requiring employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment and ensure employee safety. This legislation increases employer responsibility to safeguard and proactively prevent workplace sexual harassment.

As an organisation, you will need to demonstrate the preventative steps you have implemented. Non-compliance can have significant consequences, including financial penalties and reputational damage. Anti-Sexual Harassment Workshops

On 26 October 2024, the new Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023 came into force.

The Act introduces a new positive legal obligation on employers to take reasonable steps to protect their workers from sexual harassment. This extends the employer’s responsibility to take preventative measures to ensure their employees are kept reasonably safe from Sexual Harassment at Work.

This new legislation extends the employer responsibility to safeguard their employees proactively against sexual harassment in the workplace and so getting it right is vital and JourneyHR can help you ensure that you are compliant.
