Employment Rights Act Package
Practical HR support made simple and affordable for your business
The Employment Rights Act is changing employment law in stages, and each change reaches a growing business in a different way. For some, the first pressure is probation and hiring. For others, it is managers handling complaints, or clients and customers who work closely with your team. Getting these changes right early costs far less than putting them right after a dispute, and it gives your managers the confidence to hire and manage well under the new rules.
Our Employment Rights Act Package brings four areas of support together for one flat fee of £5,000. Each is tailored to your business, so the work goes where you need it most, and you know the full cost before anything starts.
Employment Rights Act support for growing businesses

How it works
Tell us where you are. We start with a conversation about your business, your people, and what you already have in place.
We agree where to focus. Together we decide where your business needs the most support, and we tailor each part of the package to that.
We put it in place with you. Contracts, policies, probation, and manager training are updated in the right order, so nothing has to be done twice.
What the package includes
HR Compliance + Risk Review
We review the areas that carry most risk under the new rules, including disciplinary, performance, and capability processes, and harassment by clients and customers as well as colleagues.

Policy + handbook audit, aligned to the new legislation
Employment contract review including. probation terms
Performance + Probation Support

Manager and employee sessions on the new sexual harassment duty, including how to act as an active bystander
Our People Management Essentials workshop, covering performance feedback, difficult conversations, and handling change
Who it is for
The package is for founder-led businesses of 25 to 200 people that want the Employment Rights Act handled properly, without the cost of hiring a full-time HR team to do it. It works on its own, or alongside the HR team you already have.
We've spent more than a decade partnering with founder-owned and leader-led businesses, and our HR Directors are working with clients on these changes now.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Employment Rights Act Package?
It is JourneyHR's support for businesses preparing for the Employment Rights Act. We look at which changes apply to your business, then help you put them in place through four areas of work: an HR compliance and risk review, performance and probation support, a recruitment review, and manager training. The four work together as one package, tailored to where your business needs the most support.
How much does the Employment Rights Act Package cost?
The package is a flat fee of £5,000. It covers all four areas of work, so you know the full cost before anything starts. At the beginning, we agree with you where your business needs the most support, and the time is focused there. The fee stays the same whichever areas need the most attention.
Can we choose just one part of the package?
The four parts are designed to work together, because the changes connect: contracts set the terms for probation, probation depends on how you hire, and managers carry all of it day to day. So the package stays whole, and we tailor it to your business. If your contracts are already in good shape, for example, more of the time can go into probation or manager training instead.
We already have an HR manager. Is the package still useful?
Yes. The package can sit alongside an in-house HR manager, giving them extra capacity and a second view while the changes come in. Your HR manager keeps ownership of your policies and people decisions, and we take on the specific pieces of work that need doing, such as the contract review or manager training, so the day-to-day work does not stall.
